 Ordering

 

How can I place an order?

You are welcome to either place your order online, phone it through to us, or email it.

Our office hours are Monday to Thursday 9am to 4pm (Queensland time). If you are wanting to place an order - it's faster and more convenient to place it online, rather than via the telephone.  Plus you can place your order at any time of the day or night convenient to you.  Also, if you wait until you can ring us, someone else may purchase the stock that you required.

 

Why can I only add a certain quantity of a particular item to my shopping cart?

Our shopping cart system will only allow you to add the quantity we currently have available on hand.  If you require more items than what is available, please contact us.

 

What should I use as my username?

Your username should not include any spaces.  If you use a space in your username, you will get an error saying "Incorrect username".

 

How do I know my order has been placed successfully?

You will receive a confirmation email in your inbox upon placing your order.  If you do not receive an email, your order has not been finalised successfully.

 

Can I pick up my order rather than it being sent out to me?

You may collect a prepaid order from us, provided we have enough time to get it ready for you. But unfortunately our business is not structured to deal retail direct and the high overheads involved.  This ruling enables our despatch area to work efficiently without interrupting workflow with retail door sales.  To support our local customers we do offer discounted shipping for Brisbane customers (see postal charges here).  

 

How long does it take to get my order ready for collection?

Please allow a minimum of 24 hours, or phone us to make alternative arrangements.

 

Can I pick up my order after-hours?

Yes, provided your order is paid for and pick-up arrangements have been made with us.

 

What do I do if I can't find my requirements on your website?

You can email us or you can phone us Monday to Thursday 9.00 am to 4.00 pm  

 

Can I order a non-standard size belt?

Yes, we can get any size belt made.  Manufacture takes approximately 2 weeks, and there may be a minimum number of belts per grit that need to be ordered.  If you require a price on custom-made belts, please provide the belt size (see tips for measuring sandpaper here), grit or grits you require, and what you will be sanding.  

 

Can I order a non standard size disc?

Yes, we can get any size disc made.  Manufacture takes approximately 2 weeks, and there may be a minimum number of discs per grit that need to be ordered.  If you require a price on custom-made discs, please provide the disc size (see tips for measuring sandpaper here), whether it is hook and loop back, cloth or paper backed, grit or grits you require, and what you will be sanding.  

 

Can I shop personally in store?

At The Sandpaper Man we offer online, phone and email ordering, but unfortunately our warehouse is not set up as a retail store, and therefore we are unable to accommodate counter sales.  It is full and overflowing with stock and does not have room to facilitate walk-in customers.  Since all our stock is in boxes and cartons, you will be able to see more of what a product is like from the images and descriptions on our website.  

 

Pricing

 

We are able to offer our comprehensive range at prices significantly cheaper, for a much higher quality product than major hardware stores, as we only specialise in sanding products.  Our competitive pricing structure allows for customers to purchase small or large quantities of quality abrasives from well-known manufacturing brands.

 

Do I have to order bulk quantities?

No, most of our items can be bought in minimal quantities, however there are savings to be made if you buy in box quantities.

 

Do your prices include GST?

Yes.  The only exception to this is if your order is sent direct to you in New Zealand, in which case your goods and your freight costs will not incur GST.

 

Shipping

 

We aim to ship all orders within 1-2 business days of receiving payment for your order. For Express services - we need your order before 12pm to be able to ship the same day (subject to our work load.)

 

Why am I not offered Express as a shipping option on checkout?

Usually this is because your order weighs more than 5 kilos.  Please contact us to get Express Rates for your order.

 

Do you ship outside of Australia?

The only country we ship to other than Australia, is New Zealand.

How is my order shipped?

We will decide how to ship your goods to you, unless you choose Australia Post Express Australia-wide, or Couriers Please to Brisbane and surrounds.

If you choose Standard delivery, we will send your goods either by Australia Post or Couriers Please. Sometimes Couriers Please will get the goods to you faster and sometimes Australia Post will deliver to your area and Couriers Please won't.  Couriers cannot ship to PO Boxes, however so you will need to provide a residential or business street address if you select delivery via Couriers Please.

 

I haven't received my order yet. What should I do?  

You should receive an email from Australia Post when your order is despatched, and this email will contain an Australia Post tracking number for your parcel.  If your order is sent by Couriers Please you will need to contact us to obtain a tracking number.

How can I pay for my order?

 

We accept a variety of different payment methods including:

- PayPal

- Phone Ordering (07 33964457). 

Order online and select 'Phone ordering' as your payment method. The web site will generate an invoice for you and you can then call us to arrange payment over the phone.
