Ordering

How can I place an order?
You are welcome to either place your order online or email it.

Why can I only add a certain quantity of a particular item to my shopping cart?
Our shopping cart system will only allow you to add the quantity we currently have available on hand. If you require more items than what is available, please contact us

What should I use as my username?
Your username should not include any spaces. If you use a space in your username, you will get an error saying " Incorrect username".

How do I know my order has been successfully placed?
You will receive a confirmation email in your inbox upon placing your order. If you do not receive an email, your order has not been finalised successfully.

Can I pick up my order rather than it being sent out to me?
You may collect a prepaid order from us, and we will send you a text when your order is ready for collection. Unfortunately, our business is not structured to deal with retail direct and the high overheads that are involved. This ruling enables our despatch area to work efficiently without interrupting workflow with retail door sales. To support our local customers we do offer discounted shipping for Brisbane customers (see postal charges here).  

How long does it take to get my order ready for collection?
Please allow a minimum of 24 hours Monday-Thursday, and orders placed on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays will be advised on Monday.

Can I pick up my order after-hours?
Yes, provided your order is paid for, and pick-up arrangements have been made with us?

What do I do if I can't find my requirements on your website?
You can email us with your enquiry.

Can I shop personally in-store?
At The Sandpaper Man, we offer online and email orders, but unfortunately, our warehouse is not set up as a retail store. Therefore we are unable to accommodate counter sales. It is full and overflowing with stock and does not have room to facilitate walk-in customers. Since all our stock is in boxes and cartons, you will be able to see more of what a product is like from the images and descriptions on our website.

Pricing

We can offer our comprehensive range at prices significantly cheaper, for a much higher quality product than major hardware stores, as we only specialise in sanding products. Our competitive pricing structure allows for customers to purchase small or large quantities of quality abrasives from well-known manufacturing brands.

Do I have to order bulk quantities?
No, most of our items can be bought in minimal quantities; however, there are savings to be made if you buy in box quantities.

Do your prices include GST?
Yes.

Shipping

We aim to ship all orders within a couple of business days of receiving payment for your order.
For Express services - we need your order before 10.30 am (Queensland time) to be able to ship the same day (subject to our workload). Please note we do not ship on Fridays.

Why am I not offered Express as a shipping option on checkout?
Usually, this is because your order weighs more than 5 kilos.  Please contact us to get Express Rates for your order.

Do you ship outside of Australia?
Yes, but the only other country we deliver to is New Zealand. Rates will be shown in checkout.

What are your delivery charges?

How is my order shipped?
We will decide how to ship your goods to you unless you choose Australia Post Express Australia-wide.

If you choose Standard delivery, we will send your goods either by Australia Post or Couriers Please. Sometimes Couriers Please will get the goods to you faster and sometimes Australia Post will deliver to your area and Couriers Please won't.  Couriers cannot ship to PO Boxes.

I haven't received my order yet. What should I do?
You should receive an email from Australia Post when your order is despatched, and this email will contain an Australia Post tracking number for your parcel. Track your item here https://auspost.com.au/

If your order is sent by Couriers Please you will need to contact us to obtain a tracking number.
